On the Sultan School District website, the department formerly listed as Food Services is now listed as Child Nutrition Services. This is effective immediately.

This is public notice that there will be a special meeting held on 2.12.24 at 6 pm in the Sultan Elementary Library for Board District Director position #1 candidate interviews. The normally scheduled study session board meeting will be held at 7 pm in the same location.

Yesterday, the District executed the "Sultan Direct Transfer" with the Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Approved unanimously by the Board of Natural Resources, the District acquired the piece of DNR land that has been on the Board meeting agenda over the past several months. The land is 49.46 acres, abuts a City of Sultan Urban Growth Area, and was paid for by impact fees at $455,000. This will be an asset for years to come! Questions? Call 360-793-9800.

The Advanced Ag Technology and Welding classes at Sultan High are learning to design and create projects by using the industry-based software, Autocad. Student designs are then cut out of steel or aluminum with a Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) plasma cutter. The United States flags are $150 per flag. The proceeds will go back into the program to support the students! If you are interested, please contact Matt Widaman - Career and Technical Education (CTE) instructor at Sultan High School. Sharing an exciting opportunity from the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR-DSHS) and ANEW: A Construction Boot Camp for students with IEPs and 504s plans is gearing up for Summer 2024! Students learn about construction and the trades during this 40-hour experience. If students attend all 40 hours, they are also eligible for a stipend from ANEW in addition to getting to work on fun projects related to construction! ANEW provides all tools, supplies, and safety equipment; students are supervised for all 40 hours and generally work in groups no larger than 20 students.
