Purpose
The Superintendent's Student Advisory Committee (SSAC) is a representative student body which meets approximately seven times during each school year. The overall purpose is the gain student voice and perspective to help guide policy and learning decisions made by the school board and administration. Superintendent Student Advisory members share student perspectives at meetings and represent the voice of students on issues and policies that directly affect the student body.
Meetings
Meetings for 2024-2025 will be held in the board room at the Transportation Cooperative Administration Building boardroom from 3:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. on March 31, 2025, April 28, 2025, and June 2, 2025. The schedule for 2025-2026 will be developed with committee members and the new superintendent once he/she is hired. This schedule will be complete before June 30, 2025, and ready to be published in forthcoming calendars. The SSAC and new superintendent will develop a scope and focus for the 2025-2026 school year. Agendas, meeting schedule and meeting minutes will be published on the district website.
Membership
Membership in the SSAC is appointed and is comprised of the following:
Student representatives from each Sultan School District school, grades 6-12
four representatives from each grade 9-12
two representatives from each grade 6-8
