Christmas House provides free toys for children of low-income families in Snohomish County.
The location is at the north Everett Boys and Girls Club located at 2316 12th Street, Everett 98201. This season we will be open December 5 through the 21st. Tuesday - Saturday. Please see the attachment for each day's hours and additional information.

The Board of Directors will be having a Board Retreat on November 7th, 2024, from 4-8 pm in the Sultan School District Conference Room.
Upcoming Board Meeting Changes:
-The Sultan School District board meeting on Monday 10/28/24 will not be in the SES library. The new location will be in the SES Music Room at 501 Date Street, Sultan, WA 98294.
-The 11/12/24 Study Session is canceled.
-11/18/24 will be the only board business meeting in November. This is due to the Board of Directors attending the Annual WSSDA Conference in Spokane from 11/21-11/23.
-The 11/25/24 Business Board Meeting is canceled.

Dear Sultan School District Families and Community Members,
We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to inform you that our Superintendent, Dan Chaplik, will be retiring at the end of the 2024-2025 school year. We are grateful for his years of dedicated service to our district.
As we begin the process of selecting a new superintendent, the board is committed to being as transparent as possible. We value your input and invite all parents, guardians, and community members to participate in our superintendent search focus groups on October 22nd. Your feedback is essential in helping us choose a leader who will guide our district with dedication and vision.
There will be two locations for the community focus group sessions:

Tomorrow, October 15th, 2024 is the Culmback Dam Evacuation Drill for SHS, SMS, and SES. GBE does not participate since they would not be affected in the event of a real emergency with the dam. The weather would be evaluated in the morning and if deemed unsafe for the walk up the hill, the drill would be canceled and notification to everyone by 8, no later than 8:30 pm. If conditions are safe, the drill will continue like normal, beginning at 9:30 am. REMINDER: Please dress for rain just in case and wear close-toed shoes. Water will be provided at the top of the hill! Call 360-793-9800 if you have any questions or concerns.
A letter has been issued from the Sultan Middle School Principal regarding the incident this morning. Again, we appreciate everyone's quick action and cooperation. Good job and thank you!
SMS Fire Update 8:44 am: The fire department is still on the scene and finishing up its investigation. They have cleared the building and students will be let back into their classrooms to continue their day. Thank you for being so patient during this incident. *Update 8:20 am - The incident was isolated to one classroom. All students and staff have evacuated safely. We will continue to get information out as we know.
We are aware of a fire at Sultan Middle School. The fire department is on its way with the medic. We are following our standard evacuation drill protocol right now and will hold buses. More information will come as soon as we know. Please do not come to the Middle School to pick up your child. We will send communication very soon. ::REMINDER:: Although the wall calendar that was mailed out says today is the Culmback Dam Evacuation Drill, it has been rescheduled to October 15th! Dress accordingly for the trek up the big unpaved hill. Water will be provided. Thanks for everyone's understanding and cooperation.
The Sultan School District Board of Directors will hold a special board meeting on Monday, September 30th, 2024, at 6 pm at Sultan Elementary Library located at 501 Date Street, Sultan, Washington 98294. This meeting is open to the public and will be a presentation from DA Davidson regarding the Sultan 2024 Bond.
The Sultan School District Board of Directors will hold a closed executive session on Wednesday, September 25th, 2024 at 5 pm via Zoom. This will not be open to the public. This executive session will be held for "legal council for litigation, potential litigation, or enforcement actions.

The Annual Culmback Dam Evacuation Drill for SHS, SMS, & SES is 10/15/24. Gold Bar Elementary does not participate since they would not be affected in the case of a real evacuation event due to a flood. If the weather is not suitable, a cancellation notice will go out by 8 am. The drill will begin at 9:30 am. Water will be provided. The City, Police, and Fire will help supervise the drill.
