Dear District and Community Members,
We are excited to provide an update on our ongoing search for a new Superintendent. After receiving 24 applications, of which 9 are current/former Washington superintendents, 3 are Washington Assistant Superintendents/Directors, and 3 are women, we are pleased to announce that we have narrowed the pool down to six semi-finalists. These candidates will be interviewed this Saturday, March 1st, 2025.
Following these interviews, we will announce our three finalists on Monday, March 3rd. Each finalist will spend an entire day in the district, on March 4th, 5th, and 6th respectively. During their visit, there will be a public forum each evening at 6:15 PM in the SMS Commons, where the community will have the opportunity to meet the finalists and hear directly from the candidates as they answer your pre-submitted questions. You can submit your questions by Monday, March 3rd, 3:00 pm via the link provided below. All questions asked will be the ones that are submitted by the community and remain the same for each day.
The Board of Directors will also be soliciting your feedback each evening after the public forums. This is your chance to let us know your thoughts on each of the candidates. The Board will go over every comment submitted and will use this valuable input in our decision-making process.
The Board will cast their vote on Thursday evening for the new Superintendent of the Sultan School District. We value your engagement and look forward to your participation in this important process.
