Dear Parents, Patrons, and Citizens:

Welcome to 2024! I hope that you all had a restful winter break and had the opportunity to spend time doing the things you like with friends, family, and loved ones. We have a busy calendar with many important dates upcoming. Please take a minute to read this message and if you have any questions at all don’t hesitate to reach out with an email or phone call.

School Reconfiguration

The Sultan School District has a bond on the ballot on February 13th to build a new elementary school up off of the Sultan Basin Road boarding the new Cobble Hill and Sky View Estates neighborhoods. The new elementary school will serve grades PreK-4 and have a capacity of 450 students. As part of the bond, Gold Bar Elementary School will receive an addition of 10,000 sq ft. and required modification to also serve grades PreK-4 and have a capacity of 450 students. The current Sultan Elementary School would become a campus for 5th- 6th graders and the middle school would serve 7th and 8th graders. We are planning 4 community presentations to provide an overview of the project and answer any questions that you have. The dates for the community events are as follows:

                January 18, 2024, 6:00-7:00 pm – Sultan Elementary School Gym

                January 23, 2024, 6:00-7:00 pm – Sultan Elementary School Gym

                January 24, 2024, 6:00-7:00 pm –Gold Bar Elementary School Gym

                February 1, 2024, 6:00-7:00 pm –Sultan Elementary School Gym

Transportation Cooperative

The Sultan School District is nearing completion of the Sultan Transportation Cooperative. We are currently waiting on the final inspection from the Fire Marshall so that we can get moved in. This building will be an asset to the community for years to come. If you have not had a chance to see the facility it is located at 32901 Cascade View Drive, Sultan, WA 98294

This facility is located next to the cemetery.
