Tomorrow, Thursday, June 27th, 2024, will be the start of a new Citizen Facility Advisory Committee! Everyone is welcome to join the conversation. There may be 3 or more members of the SSD Board of Directors, which makes for a quorum, but no official business will be discussed. The group will go over the post-2024 Bond Community Survey results and discuss future possibilities. This meeting will take place at 6pm in the Sultan Middle School Library located at 301 High Avenue, Sultan, WA 98294.

[EN] Hello, this is an important message from the Sultan School District. We are hosting afternoon open house meetings for families newly arrived in the country on July 1st, 15th, 29th, and August 12th from 12 to 3 PM. These meetings will provide valuable information about services and resources available to you and your children, and introduce you to our school system. Join us in front of the Sultan School District office by the elementary school for snacks, play activities, and informational flyers. Yesterday, at 5 pm, the board of directors held a candidate interview for the one applicant for director district #3. The board deliberated afterward and then voted during the regular meeting at 6 pm for Michael Butler to be the new board director. He was sworn in and began his duties last night. We want to welcome Michael Butler to the Sultan School District!

On Thursday, June 20th, 2024 at 6 pm the Sultan School District Board of Directors will meet for an executive session, closed to the public, at the District Office located at 514 4th Street, Sultan, WA 98294, for the Superintendent's evaluation.
Additionally, on Monday, June 24th, 2024, at 5 pm, the Sultan School District Board of Directors will hold Board Candidate Interviews which will be open to the public in the Sultan Elementary School Library at 501 Date Street, Sultan, WA 98294.

We will be collecting all laptops, cases, and chargers on: June 13th for 7th and 8th graders and June 14th for 6th graders. Parents and Guardians please make sure your student brings their laptop, case, and charger to school on this date. If you are planning on being out of town, be sure to turn these items in beforehand.
Interested in joining the PTSO? Come to our meeting on June 12th at 1:30pm in the Commons at SMS.
Sports are wrapped up for the year. If your student is interested in Fall sports for the 2024-2025 school year, we encourage you to get signed up now! Fall sports will be: Cross Country, Football, Volleyball, and Boys Soccer.
Head to: https://sultan-wa.finalforms.com/ to log in or create a parent account. Be sure you're signing up for the 2024-2025 year. Select the sport, e-sign the forms, and then your student will need to access their Outlook email to sign their forms. We encourage you to get these forms signed before laptop collection day (June 13th/14th) if you have limited online access at home.
Sports fees are $35 per sport, 4th sport is free.

On Friday, May 31st, our ASB held an Assembly where our 8th grade ASB Executive Board introduced the candidates for running for next years Board. The candidates bravely read a prepared speech and a vote followed. We are proud to introduce our upcoming ASB Executive Board for the 2024-2025 school year:

Our End of Year Band and Choir Concert will be June 12th at 7pm in the SMS gymnasium. Families, friends, and community members are welcome to attend. Let's support and celebrate our hardworking band and choir students!

The Sultan Middle School Track and Field team had their last meet of the season. The atmosphere surrounding our team has been nothing short of electric. From the unwavering support of our fans and teammates to the incredible dedication and sportsmanship displayed by our athletes, the spirit and energy of our team have truly created a remarkable environment. Every single athlete finished the season with personal records.

Announcement for May 29th, 2024: Director District 3 is now vacant and open to apply for. The Board will accept the candidate information form, resumes, and cover letters from interested individuals from Wednesday, May 29th, 2024, until noon on Friday, June 21st, 2024. Interviews will be held at 5 pm on Monday, June 24th, 2024, before the board meeting at 6 pm.
