Sultan Elementary

Principal's Note

I am so happy to be back as a part of the SES family for my fourth year as Principal! I am thrilled for an exciting year as we continue to grow in so many ways. We have many new families in the valley and I would like to invite you to please participate in any and all activities that we sponsor here at SES. We thrive on our partnerships with families and with the community. You will likely see your teachers, para-educators and administrators throughout the Sky Valley supporting our students and community.

Whether you are new to our community or not, I would love to see you at school, volunteering in your child’s classroom, chaperoning field trips or just popping into the office to say hello and meet our wonderful staff.

As is always the case, if you have any questions for me as principal, please do not hesitate to reach out by email or set up a meeting with my administrative secretary, Mrs. Sorgen.
SES
Cheers to another successful year!

2017-18 Sultan Elementary was recognized for growth in the Washington School Improvement Framework metrics while narrowing the gap between the highest and lowest performing student groups, as well as closing gaps on the WSIF metrics and demonstrating improvement among student groups identified for support.

Title 1 School

Title 1 is a federal program that offers supplemental funds to qualifying schools. The eligibility of a school to receive Title 1 services is determined by the number of students receiving free or reduced cost meals.

The goal of Title 1 is to ensure that all children have an equal opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach proficiency on state academic achievement standards.

Title 1 instruction is supplemental and does not take the place of regular classroom instruction.
