Emergency Information

Refer to the Transportation page for Snow Routes and Flood Routes.

Find your normal bus route and check for the updated snow or flood route.

What should you do if weather or emergencies force changes in school or bus schedules?

The district uses the Flash Alert System for Emergency Notifications:  http://flashalert.net/id/sultansd

Flash Alert allows parents, students, staff & community members to receive immediate notification regarding emergency announcements and school closures/delays at the SAME TIME as the radio and television stations. To receive your emergency notification by email or text message, register at the link posted above by entering in your email and clicking "subscribe."

If "School Closed " All schools are closed. School related programs and use of school buildings are cancelled.

If "one hour late" School starts one hour late, but ends at the regular time. Buses will be one hour late.

If "two hours late" School starts two hours late, but ends at the regular time. Buses will be two hours late with morning or afternoon preschool.

If "limited bus transportation" Schools are open, but some snow and ice on the roadways require emergency routes. Parents should take students to these places or directly to school. Students will be taken to the same place after school (bus stops already along Highway 2 are not listed in Emergency Pickup/Drop-Off Routes.)
